Whilst working with a database of around 30,000 translators, it could seem tricky to keep track of who does what, who specialises in which field etc. however we keep an up to date database of each translator, their personal details, any qualifications that may benefit your project and also their full contact details. This means we simply enter criteria for each project and the right translator is found within minutes. Each and every time a translator contacts us, we record their new experience and references to make sure we’re working with the most highly qualified and ‘top-notch’ translators at all times.
When sourcing translators we focus on 3 key points:
- Experience. This is one of the most important factors as generally, the most experienced translators offer a higher quality translation. Not only do we look into their long term history but also their history with Premier Language. Trust is a factor that we focus heavily on, not only between us and our clients but also us and our translators.
- Qualifications. Although experience is a key factor, a new translator with a degree in law for example is more suited to legal documents than a more experienced fashion expert. This means we must thoroughly analyse a translators CV and categorize them according to the most important factors.
- References. Once we have chosen suitable translators for your work, we ensure to follow up over the phone two references within this field. As well as references we occasionally ask our translators to perform a small sample document which is then reviewed by one of our most experienced translators.
